I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in Colorado. I believe that therapy can be a beautiful, challenging, and complex experience, and that it’s a privilege to get to walk alongside my clients. I specialize in helping individuals and couples reconnect with themselves and with each other.
My approach is collaborative – meaning I want to understand what is important to you, what you want out of therapy, what resonates with you, and will structure my approach around those things. Therapy to me is a marathon and not a sprint – it takes time and trust to create long-lasting change; I don’t believe in quick fixes or forcing change. Instead, I hope to move at a pace that feels supportive and sustainable. In our work, we’ll explore the patterns, emotions, and stories that shape your life and your relationships, while building practical tools that help you feel steadier, more grounded, and more fulfilled in your relationships. My goal is to help you nurture and accept what’s within so you can grow in ways that feel authentic and lasting.
I believe therapy only works if you feel connected to and emotionally safe with your therapist. I want therapy to be a place where you can show up as you – messy, silly, sad, overwhelmed, unfiltered, creative, joyful, fearful. All of it is welcome.
Sometimes, we are getting into deep, difficult stuff, and it can feel like your brain and heart just did a high intensity workout class. Sometimes, we are celebrating your wins and laughing about something funny that happened this week. And sometimes all that happens in one session! The whole range of experiences is welcome in therapy.
Safety and growth in relationships requires us to be challenged, and therapy is a great place to practice being challenged. If I am noticing a blindspot or believe you are missing an important lens or perspective, I will ask your permission to challenge you. It is because I care and want to support your growth, and believe that you have the capacity to be challenged.
Some sessions begin open-endedly and we see what naturally unfolds. Some sessions may be more structured, especially if we are working on a particular skill or doing a particular intervention. I enjoy both, and we can personalize structure to what feels best for you.
